Gunner's Story...

Gunner is a Beagle/Labrador Retriever Mix. He is Tan/Red with White. Gunner is 10 Months Old. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. He weighs around 30 lbs.

Gunner is a goofy silly boy! He was picked up as a stay at a rural high kill pound and was very excited to come here and try to find his home. Gunner is such a silly young pup, he loves to run around the entire house and then jump onto the couch with his tongue hanging out just lounging waiting for another spurt of energy to come. He makes friends with all dogs of all sizes, right now he really loves our resident almost 10 year old toy poodle who he plays with. But most of all he loves playing outside, he hasn't discovered that when fetching your supposed to bring it back but he does love to go and find it! He would love if his new family loved to do outdoor activities like hiking or just spending lots of time playing outside. Gunner loves getting lots of attention but wouldn't mind sharing the attention with a doggie brother or sister. Gunner would make anyone a great furry family member.

Gunner would do well in any household. He loves everyone he meets including adults, kids and especially other dogs. He is still very much a puppy and has the energy to prove it! He loves to go walking, especially when there are other people or dogs walking at the same time he is. He will go up to anyone and say hello. He does tend to pull when he's excited and wants to see someone but does much better when on a harness. Gunner is already completely crate trained and is almost housetrained and will only need a week or two more to become completely housetrained. He gets very excited when you come home and will jump on you, but we know he isn't trying to jump on you, he wants to jump INTO your arms which is him trying to get closer to you. He loves riding in the car and his big ears flap in the wind as he's cruising down the high way as your Co. Pilot! Gunner is so loving and playful that he would make anyone a great companion.

Gunner is not aggressive with other dogs, he has been with small, large, young and old dogs.

At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors.

There is a $100 Adoption Fee for all dogs. Which includes the Spay/Neuter, Parvo/Distemper Combo Shot, Rabies Shot, Worming, Heartworm Tested Negative if over 6 months and Flea/Tick Prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gunner, a Latrobe Beagle/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Labrador Retriever for sale in Latrobe, or seeking a Beagle/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Latrobe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Latrobe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Latrobe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Beagle/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Latrobe paves the way for another one to be saved.
