Zebra's Story...
Zebra is a stunning 12 week old female brown tabby kitten who has recently discovered the joy of looking out the window. She is hilarious as she zooms around the room, jumps on her cat scratcher or rolls over in play. Her mother Madonna is a gorgeous, sweet and playful two-year-old, green-eyed, Abyssinian-mix cat looking for a loving home by herself or with one of her magnificent 12-week-old kittens. This incredibly loving girl is wonderful with people, talkative, and lets you hold her and pick her up. She even lets me kiss her belly … all the time she just purrs. She would love to find a home with one or two of her kittens, but she would also do well as an only cat. She was found in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood missing the top of her ear … it’s a mystery how that happened. Zebra's brother is Lion - a gorgeous, sweet and active, blue-eyed, male, orange tabby kitten. He loves to play rough and tumble with his mom, and siblings. You can hear him rumble and purr from across the room. Panther is a very lovely, sleek, and athletic, female, black kitten. She loves to jump and climb with her momma, or her siblings. She’s snugly, lovable and loves to play. Mom and her kittens are very healthy, spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, micro-chipped, virus-tested, and de-wormed. Each cat’s adoption fee is $75, or as a pair $100. To meet and possibly adopt any of these phenomenally fun and friendly feline family members, please contact me directly. I have been fostering them in my home since they were only a few days old. To meet and adopt them please contact sheri@petraits.com or 312-961-4571

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zebra, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
