Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This bio was written by Robert, who rescued Hiway:
I was returning from N. Miami on the day that Hurricane Rita glanced by us. Traffic was heavy on I95N. "highway" was stunned frozen in the center lane. It was raining heavy and he was drenched soaking wet. Traffic was swerving around him and he was in a position on the lane just where tires normally roll. I pulled onto the breakdown lane on the right and in reverse, backed up about a quarter mile just at the Hallendale Beach Blvd exit. I honestly did not think I would get to him in time. As I was waiting for a clearing in traffic, an eighteen wheeler came within an inch of him. Finally the traffic broke and I ran
into the center lane and scooped him up. He was quite lifeless but alive. I wrapped him in a towel and when he started to warm up he began to shiver until I got him home and dried him off. He ate a little and slept most of the time until I brought him to you today. I hope you find Hiway a good home. Thank you so much for taking him. I already have a full grown cat who is a senior citizen...and he let me know that he does not like kids.
