Sammy's Story...
Sammy is a very nice female, black and white cat. She is just 8-9 months old and has already had a rough life. Her owner adopted her and Sassy (a non blood relative also looking for a new home) in June as kittens and had to recently give them both up due to personal problems.

Sammy is very shy around men, almost afraid, and we’re wondering if she was abused. She has a very slight limp and seems just a bit too sensitive if touched on her back quarters but our vet couldn’t find anything wrong. We’ll certainly keep an eye on her and being in the adoption center, she is getting the peace and quiet she needs. We feel very confident she’ll be just fine. She’s happy being petted or sitting in your lap and has a sweet disposition. She gets more comfortable in her new surroundings every day which just proves she will adapt very well in a new, forever home.

Sammy is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, FELV/FIV tested negative and is microchipped. She comes with a free month of ShelterCare insurance. We intend for all our pets to be indoors only. They live longer, healthier lives away from outdoor dangers.

This sweetheart can be seen anytime at PetSmart in Huntington Beach, 7600 Edinger Ave, next to Michaels, across from the new Bella Terra Mall just off the 405 freeway. Our adoption hours are Saturday 11-3, Sunday 2-4, Monday & Wednesday 6-7pm and Thursdays 7-8pm.

We require an application, a vet reference or referral and a home check to adopt any of our wonderful animals. We want this to be a perfect match between adopter and pet. We think our animals deserve the very best!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sammy, a Huntington Beach Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Huntington Beach, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Huntington Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntington Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntington Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntington Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
