Sidney von Poitier's Story...
Sidney von Poitier is the sweetest 9 month old Shepherd mixed with Retriever and Border Collie we think. Although he is a tiny bit shy first, he will crawl in your lap and kiss you non stop, or turn over for tummy rubs. He's wonderful with other dogs and loves people. He has a beautiful, fluffy plush coat and such gorgeous coloring and markings. We can see Sidney as the perfect family dog for a home with kids and other dogs. He has that cute head tilt when you make goofy noises to take his pictures. We don't think you could find a more loving and adorable dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sidney von Poitier, a Los Angeles Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
