Wilma's Story...
Wow, what a wonderful puppy I am. Waiting patiently for a place to call home…. I bet your wondering what my story is. Well, my momma is a beautiful little Wheaten Terrier mix and we think my dad was an Australian Shepherd type mix…what beautiful babies they made! They say that I will probably be around 25-30 pounds when I’m all grown up. Momma was a stray, but she got rescued and delivered us puppies in a foster home. Thankfully we found safe would have been so tough to be born on the streets. Momma has found a home of her own, and now it’s our turn! I’ll need plenty of love, guidance and training so that I can grow up to be a well mannered family pet. So what are you waiting for, come welcome me home! 9 weeks old-7lbs. My adoption fee is $280 and includes; microchip, reducec cost spay/neuter and $25 rebate, reduced cost Training Class, free veterinary exam,1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wilma, a Portland Wheaten Terrier/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Wheaten Terrier/Australian Shepherd for sale in Portland, or seeking a Wheaten Terrier/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Wheaten Terrier/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Wheaten Terrier/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
