Simone's Story...
As you approach Simone, her mouth seems to form a smile and her whole body wriggles with delight. This affectionate, vibrant girl is very eager to play with other dogs, but seems equally, if not more content to get hugs, belly rubs, and generally just lots of love! When offered a treat, Simone politely declines but gently nudges your hand for a stroking instead. She is observant and alert, always mindful of what her human (and canine) friends are doing. Simone will make a wonderful addition to a home, filling it with lots of effervescence and warmth.

Act quickly to adopt Simone. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simone, a Berkeley American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
