Sue's Story...

(ID #63) Hi, my name is Sue

Oh dear, I have lost my family and now really, really need a new one. It is no fun to be found as a stray and brought to the shelter.

I am a young lady, close to two years old and I weigh around 35-40 pounds. See, I am a perfect size; not too big and not too small. I have already been spayed and given my basic shots.

I am an active girl and need some room to run with a nice fence. I guess that must be the Lab in me.

I am being sponsored by Sheltered Paws Dog Rescue. They are providing me with a getting started goodie bag. This bag contains a collar, leash, ID tag, toy, a FREE training DVD, a certificate for a FREE dog training course (This course is held in the Sharonville area), and other dog related items.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sue, a Cincinnati Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
