My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Deja Blu is new to rescue as of 5/5/10. She has petite features is a beautiful blue brindle color and the prettiest eyes! She is housebroken, does well in her crate, loves other dogs, cats and REALLY loves to cuddle with her humans. The animal control officer who has been caring for her for the past month told me that he just "can't say enough good things about her!"

We aren't really sure what Deja is mixed with, but her ears give her a Great Dane look sometimes (albeit a small Dane). Deja has been doing great with the kids and cat. She does have a weakness, however, and that is chickens! Deja cannot go to a home where there are chickens - just too tempting for the sweet girl. Deja has been around other dogs and does well if the dogs don't get too pushy with her. She is mild-mannered, but will draw the line when a dog tries to push her around.

She is extremely smart and is just now, for the first time in her life, learning to play with toys! Its sad to know she's never had that chance in the past, but so wonderful to watch her discover the joys of being loved by her people. Deja Blu deserves to be loved unconditionally by a family of her own! Can you find it in your heart to give her that chance???

Unchained is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to finding responsible, loving FOREVER homes that are committed to giving these dogs the wonderful life they deserve.

Our dogs are placed in foster homes and are part of our families. We work on basic obedience training, crate-training, and socialization as much as each foster home is able. The dog's behavior is thoroughly evaluated and we have a firm sense of their temperament and personality. Each dog is given lots of love and treats!
