Lucia's Story...
COMING SOON

Lucia is another Taiwanse street dog that was hit by a car and left on the street. She had a back injury, but has recovered with surgery to stabilize her spine. She must have had a angel watching as most dogs in her case wouldn't have been so lucky and would have ended up paralysed, but she was brought to the care of TUAPA shelter vets for lots of TLC. She is fully recovered, but will do better with casual strolls in the park rather than being a mountain biker's companion :)

Lucia just turned three and is 24 lbs

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucia, a Duncan Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Duncan, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Duncan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Duncan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Duncan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Duncan paves the way for another one to be saved.
