Earl Grey's Story...
Hot or cold? White, yellow, green, oolong, black or pu-erh? No matter your preference, I’m sure that I’ll be just your ‘cup of tea.’ I’m Earl Grey, and I’m just about the sweetest and gentlest cat you may ever meet. I showed up one day at Friends of Homeless Animals, just looking for a spot…no, not a spot of tea, but a spot I could call my own. At Friends, they call it “a forever home.” I thoroughly enjoy pets and I show my enthusiasm for them by rubbing my little head against your hand, enticing you to give me more and more. When not head-butting hands to encourage more pets, I’ll head-butt my feline friends, inviting each kitty pal to snuggle up for a while. I also like toys and have been known to defeat a feathered toy or two in my day. I have the most distinctive grey and tan markings – I’m sure that’s part of the origin of my name. Who needs a tea cozy when you can have a cozy cat named after the world’s most popular tea—Earl Grey.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Earl Grey, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
