Chili's Story...
Introducing Miss Chili Bean!! Not only is she cute cute cute, but she’s just about the best sport around, too. First arriving in a Utah shelter at 4 months old, she has been in five…yes, you read that right, FIVE… different homes since then. Yet her loving, trusting nature and zest for life are still intact!! We’ve been keeping our eye out for her and we finally managed to step in…she came into WBCR in late May.

Chili is already proving to be a great dog, and gets better every day. She’s very adaptable, levelheaded, and lighthearted, and is always up for fun. She loves people, is a super duper cuddlebug, and flirts SHAMELESSLY with everyone she meets…with her delicate features, beautiful markings, and softest of fur, all she has to do is gaze at someone with her heartmelting eyes and they are hers!! She gets along great with other dogs, too, and is a spicy girl who really loves rough and tumble playing best. She doesn’t show too much interest in toys, but loves to go for hikes, splash in creeks, and roll in the snowbanks. She ALSO loves to give sneak attack kisses and wriggle about in the grass and bark at the sheer fun of it all. Whoo wee, she’s a hoot! Chili does show some herding instinct and may show a little too much interest in cats to live with one, unless it’s super dog savvy. She’s a higher energy girl who will need an active home. She also came into rescue packing a few extra pounds…but she’s not going to be a Chili Cheeseburger for long! Chili is dropping those extra pounds fast and she should be down to an ideal weight of 30-35 pounds in no time.

Cha Cha Chili is also bright, very willing, and learns quickly. She’s housetrained, cratetrained, and hard at work learning the basics and boundaries in her foster home. This forgiving girl is barely over a year old and has a bright future ahead. We are having a ball getting to know her, and will post more about her as we learn more!

Chili is spayed, fully vetted, microchipped and lives in a loving foster home near Jackson, WY.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chili, a Glenrock Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Glenrock, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Glenrock.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Glenrock already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Glenrock breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Glenrock paves the way for another one to be saved.
