Lilly's Story...
That’s Miss Lilly to you! I have been here awhile because my attitude really got in the way. I think I am finally ready for a home of my own now!I will need a patient, loving person who will be able to see through my shyness and into my sweet little soul. Once I get to know you I like to
give little kisses and can be affectionate. It might take awhile before we get to that point though. I can be a hard little nut to crack and I’m not going to warm up right away. If you are patient and up for a little bit of a challenge come meet me, trust me it will be worth it I am just a doll once I feel comfortable. Because I will react it I feel threatened I will need a home with older or no kids. I do great with other dogs but don't like cats. I take my commitments seriously so I am looking for a life long relationship…Are you ready? 2 1/2 years old-15lbs. My adoption fee is $150 and includes adoption supplies.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilly, a Portland Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
