Gus's Story...
this handsome guy is in the Chester, SC animal shelter and is a dynamite fellow. He is very resposive , has a gorgous coat and needs someone to give him a great home. We know vrey little about rescue dogs but I have found they are usually wonderful once they get home if they are even shy in a shelter . Remember they have to deal with noise, little attention and a wire kennel most all the time. with no assurance from a familiar touch . They have to deal with a lot and that makes them special to rescue.
This is a courtesy post from another group hoping to save him.
If you can seriously consider him, please contact Barabara at 803 209 5765. He is in northern south carolina ,just south of Charlotte, so you must be able to go there to see him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gus, a Lincolnton Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Lincolnton, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Lincolnton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lincolnton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lincolnton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lincolnton paves the way for another one to be saved.
