Kearney's Story...
(This is a courtesy listing. Please call the number below.) Kearney is a 5-year-old terrier who is both crate- and leash-trained, is good around other dogs, loves to take walks around the neighborhood, and is very enthusiastic about rides in the car (front seat, please). He is 20 pounds, house-trained, neutered, and fully vaccinated. Kearney would prefer a house with no kids under 10, please. If you would like to meet Kearney, please call Diane at 503-391-2621.

(It is our policy to put a "no cats" advisory on all of our dogs unless we have specifically been told by a surrendering family. If we don't know otherwise, we've chosen to err on the side of caution.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kearney, a Salem Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Salem, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
