Nilla Wafer's Story...
Nilla Wafer no longer has a care in the world. She is loving life in her foster home, where she enjoys being "Queen Bee" around the other foster dogs. Nilla is a very active, playful girl. She loves to play fetch. She will definately need an active mom, dad or family to adopt her, who provide her with lots of play time. Nilla is also a very smart girl. She knows "sit", "stay" and she's great on-leash. She has the ability to learn a lot more than just the basics. Nilla came to us as a stray in northeast TX. She had been running as a stray with her buddy, but her buddy was shot and killed by someone. We were notified by someone in the community and found Nilla a few days later, still traumatized by the event. We want to make sure our sweet Nilla Wafer is happy, safe and sound for the rest of her life. Nilla is spayed, fully vaccinated, wormed, heartworm-negative and is on monthly heartworm prevention and flea control. Our $150 adoption fee helps cover the cost of Nilla's vet visit. If you would like to give Nilla Wafer a permanent, loving home, please complete our online application today:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nilla Wafer, a Carrollton Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer for sale in Carrollton, or seeking a Pointer dog from a breeder in Carrollton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carrollton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carrollton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer breeders who help with Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carrollton paves the way for another one to be saved.
