Jake's Story...
Hi I’m Jake, a delightful little Shepherd mix looking for a place to spend the rest of my long happy life. I have a sweet personality, a little shy and very attentive. I would love to find a home where I can sleep in the bed, sit on your lap (yes, I am sure that I can fit) and fallow you around the house. I do well with older children as long as they are very patient, gentle and understanding. Other dogs are just great, I am really building confidence and coming out of my shell here with the help of all my new canine friends. I totally crate trained too, which is a really great start if you ask me. If you are looking for a sweet and loyal buddy then you absolutely must come in and meet me… I promise I will stick to you like glue. 1 year old-41lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; microchip, neuter, reduced cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Portland German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
