KAHLUA's Story...
May 16.....Gorgeous 1 to 1 1/2 y/o female Labrador Retriever mix ready for a permanent loving home. Dog pound where she was rescued from suggested she may have Weimaraner mixed in. Possibly - but atleast 75% Lab maybe 25% Weimaraner. Nice girl! Kahlua weighs 50 pounds and has a gorgeous soft short black coat with red highlights. Eyes are golden brown. Initially cautious with new dogs -- she quickly becomes friends and starts to play. Crate trained - keeps dry, needs work on leash walking and house manners. Very willing to please and seeks attention. Should become a wonderful family dog! Living with cats unknown. Spayed, vaccines up to date, heartworm negative. Adoption fee $160 KAHLUA is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

KAHLUA, a Toledo Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Toledo, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Toledo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toledo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toledo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toledo paves the way for another one to be saved.
