My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Born 04/30/2004, Peanut is a purebred Manchester Terrier, 12.2 lbs, 14 inches. She is spayed and fully up to date on all shots, etc. Purchased from a breeder in Plant City, FL to be a companion for 86 year-old-widow, Peanut just loved to sit on her lap by the hour. She is housebroken and very smart. She is well-behaved on a leash, loves to take long walks, and gets them twice a day. She can sit, shake hands, do ballerina dance on hind legs, and jump through hoops. She comes to you and tips her head to indicate she needs to go outside. She yips to come back in. She loves her doggy toys and squeeks them and carries them around. She has the cutest little prance when she walks! The Vet describes her as a "cutie" and very sweet, more so than the average mannie. Her foster mom confirms it - she's a really sweet little girl!
Peanut has been staying with family members, but needs a new home - she misses that human companionship during the day. Her owner has now gone to a nursing home and no longer remembers her. Peanut has excellent hearing and is great at announcing activty in the yard or someone approaching the house. She was trained to bark when the phone rings. Peanut prefers ladies to men, and is afraid of children. When our grandchildren come to visit, we sometimes put her in the bedroom for their comfort and Peanut's. Peanut has been with another dog and cat in our household and blends well with them.
