Harley's Story...
Meet Harley: hi energy and "all lab" with that wonderful typical happy goofball lab personality. About a year old and weighing in at 63 pounds. This gorgeous chocolate boy has a great temperament and loves everyone. Good with other dogs, (has not been cat tested yet), he loves to play and run around, but also settles down to "chill" with you. He is partly housetrained and is catching on quickly to the routine in his new foster home. Still needs puppy school/obedience training but is smart and learns quickly. Needs a home that will give him plenty of exercise. All in all, a great dog that just needs some training to become even greater!

Harley's adoption fee of $295 includes: vet exam, flea preventative, heartworm test, DHPP (distemper-parvo combo) vaccination, rabies vaccination, bordetella vaccination, deworming, microchip and neutering.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley, a Mt. Prospect Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Mt. Prospect, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Mt. Prospect.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt. Prospect already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt. Prospect breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt. Prospect paves the way for another one to be saved.
