Lotus's Story...
Lotus is a firecracker! A very smart, very assured, very cute girl doggie! Lotus will shine in a home where her people are as active as she is. While on her walks in the park, she is easy to manage ~ though she does have a weakness for playing tug-o-war with her leash, which volunteers are helping her to understand, is a no-no. Lotus would love attending dog obedience training classes, which we suggest, as smart girl doggies like Lotus thrive on being given direction, taught new tricks, and then praised and given treats. She can be reactive to some dogs though she responds well to correction and this could be managed.

Act quickly to adopt Lotus. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lotus, a Berkeley American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
