Oliver's Story...

ADOPTION PENDING!

Meet Oliver! He is an adorable Heeler/Lab mix who is about 1½ years old and weighs around 40 lbs. He already knows some basic commands and loves to play fetch. He will even bring the ball back! Oliver's foster mom thinks he is mostly housetrained and is very smart so given some experience in a house, he should be fully trained soon. He loves to play with other dogs and also likes older kids but he hasn't yet been around anyone under the age of 8.

Please contact Oliver's foster mom, Marlo, at marlomartin@everestkc.net if you want to know more about this great dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oliver, a Overland Park Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
