Kody von Mojave's Story...
Kody von Mojave is the most wonderful 3 year old German Shepherd. He came to us from a long way away but the shelter staff was so in love with him and his sweet personality, they did everything possible to get this boy out of there and into a rescue. Now that we have Kody we know why. He's such an easy dog to have around. Nothing seems to bother him, he just observes everything and always seems to have a smile on his face. Even in the chaos of an very busy adoption day with many dogs running around and barking, he was calm and just a love. He is gentle and is friendly with all people. We're not sure what happened to his owners because he looks well cared for, although they certainly must have showed their love to Kody with food. He needs to lose about 20-25 pounds to be at his healthiest. Kody even tested well with cats. He's one of those fuzzy bears we like to hug and kiss on the top of the head. You couldn't find a more endearing dog out there.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kody von Mojave, a Los Angeles German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
