Joe's Story...
This is Joe! As in JOE COOL! Cause he is the coolest guy. He just came in from animal control and is just full of personality. He is very friendly and curious. He is just fun to be around, I just love this guy. He seems to be okay with dogs, too, because he was sticking his nose in the cage of a sick dog. We have not specifically tested him around other cats yet, but he did not hiss at any of the other ones in their cages. He is about a year or so old. He is a tabby, but has very interesting markings, like blotches and stripes. Please stop by and check him out, you will instantly fall in love! His photos do not do him justice, he has just the cutest big round head that I could not seem to capture in these photos.

PLEASE EMAIL ME FOR AN ADOPTION APPLICATION.

Before the cat is adopted he or she will be spayed or neutered, receive all the necessary vaccinations after being tested for FeLV/FIV, checked for parasites and fleas and treated if need be.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joe, a Ottawa Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ottawa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Ottawa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ottawa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ottawa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ottawa paves the way for another one to be saved.
