Shyla's Story...
Introducing Shyla, this oh-so-sweet Chiweenie gal is just a year old and under 15 pounds. What is a chiweenie you ask? Little Miss Shyla is a mix of Chihuahua and Doxie, so just picture a Chihuahua with an extra long body and you have Shyla! She is a very well adjusted pup, loves dogs, cats, and kids. There isn't anyone this little lady will overlook when trying to find someone to cuddle with. Despite her small size and short stature, Shyla loves to be on the go. In fact, she likes to explore so much, that she would do best in a home with a fenced yard. She enjoys going for walks and her energy seems limitless at times, yet she settles in nicely for quiet time at home.

If you would like to give Shyla her forever home, contact her adoption consultant, Lisa, at 440-243-1245 or at for more information. Little Shyla is in a foster home, so Lisa will set up a visit. Shyla can’t wait to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shyla, a Berea Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Berea, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Berea.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berea already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berea breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berea paves the way for another one to be saved.
