Katie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Katie's Story...
Katie is an 11 month old rat terrier who was found in the snow last winter. The family who rescued her moved and was unable to bring her along, so she is in foster care waiting for her forever family. Katie weighs 17 pounds and should be full grown. Katie is playful and active but not at all hyperactive, and she settles down very well for some snuggles. Katie gets along with other dogs, likes the cats in her foster home and is even gentle with the bunny. A physically fenced yard is required for Katie. She does best with kids over 5 and other playful dogs her size or larger. Katie is VERY dependably house trained and has never had an accident in the house. She is also kennel trained, and would do very well in obedience, agility, etc. Her foster mom said: Katie is playful, affectionate, likes to sit on your lap, and sleeps next to you at night. She likes to hide her chews/toys in the couch, under the bed, in the closet, etc. It's fun to watch her do this! Katie is a really good girl with no behavior issues at all." Katie is with a 501c3 non profit rescue. Her adoption fee is $200.00 and she is spayed, heartworm negative and on prevention, up to date on all shots and worming, is on flea/tick prevention and has a HomeAgain microchip.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katie, a Osseo Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Osseo, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Osseo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Osseo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Osseo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Osseo paves the way for another one to be saved.
