Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Salty!
He was taken in by one of our rescue partners in Mexico from the village of Los Barriles in the southern part of the Baja. At some point in his life he was either lost, abandoned, or just thrown out in the desert to fend for himself. He survived somehow, for how long we will never know, until an elderly lady found him under her back step. Thinking he was old and about to die, she took him to the little vet clinic in town to be put down. The vets determined he was only 3-4 years old, very sick but curable. That was about 4 months ago.
Now Salty is about 15 pounds heavier, a very healthy happy loving dog and has been brought to B.C. by the people that provided his foster care in Mexico but he now needs a forever home.
Salty is a very easy dog, no bad habits, housetrained and has been neutered. His mixed ancestry includes a wire-haired breed, probably Westie, so he does not shed. He enjoys other dogs, tolerates most cats, but mostly he loves people including children. He will fit in well with any home that has
people he can be close to.
If you would like to meet Salty, please complete an adoption application at, www.penniesfordogs.org/adoption_application.html, and email to, Adopt@PenniesForDogs.org.
