My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATED BIO 07/26/2010: Hi fans! Joey here! Foster mom said to let you know I'm really happy here, but I know I'm going to be much happier in my furever home. I am doing so much better and she is so very proud of me. I know because she tells me all the time. I'm thinking I need some kids in the home, or I'll take someone that is kind of athletic like I am and can keep me occupied. I do love to play and give kisses and am very people friendly. Not that I won't protect when necessary, once you're mine, there's no turning back. I'll attach like glue. I do also like to be held and give kisses, like literally try to wash your face off. I like sleeping with you, but I don't take over the bed and I don't need to be next to you all the time. I can occupy myself for hours, but I would prefer you to play with me. I love going for walks, but I am not crazy about being in the car for too long at a time. A doggy car seat would probably do well for me. I'm not a big barker, mostly when I'm protecting you. I don't like thunder storms or fireworks. I don't know what more to say that could make you want me even more. Foster mom said nobody's perfect, but I'm real close. Think about me will ya, because I really want a FURever home.

UPDATED BIO 07/02/2010: Hey there! It's Joey, the new kid on this block! I had to move foster homes, because my first foster mom was going out of town for a little bit; so I thought I'd get a new do! Do you like? I'm a handsome little devil! My FM said I have to let her have a few minutes on the computer, so here she is:

FM here to tell you that Joey is a true sugar baby. Joey gets along with everyone and doesn't seem to have a mean bone in his skinny little body. The worst thing he has tried to do so far is lick my face off with so many kisses. He is full of energy and does like to play - a lot and forever and ever and ever. We are working at putting a little weight on him, he's pretty skinny right now at almost 10 lbs. He should probably be 11 to be healthier.... We're also working on house training. We'll let you know more when WE know more. :) Joey said to send xoxo's and he says, "Start looking at me for YOUR, yes, I'm talking to YOU, FURever home!"

INITIAL BIO 05/29/2010: Joey is a sweet little 3 year old 10 lb (skinny) Yorkie who was surrendered today by his former owner who just didn't have the time to spend with him. She found UYR and asked if we could find him a home where he could have more attention, someone to cuddle with him, and play with him. We said sure and off to his new foster mom and dad he went. :) We think Joey should probably gain about a pound or two to be at a healthier weight.

Joey is a loving little guy. He wasn't quite sure what to make of his new foster fur-siblings at first, but as time went on, he started to play with them and was having a blast. He is a little timid of new people at first but lived with a young girl prior to being surrendered to UYR and got along with children, cats, and other dogs. He's had a few accidents so far, but being in a new environment - it's understandable. We'll be taking care of that neuter thing in the next week or so, but don't tell Joey!

A few months ago, Joey had an accident and jumped out of a moving SUV. He got banged up pretty badly and wound up in the doggy hospital for a few days. He lost a lot of weight and was very ill. As a result, he lost some hair on his ears and on his tail (Joey has a long tail.... it's so cute!). The hair is just starting to grow back.

If you're looking for a sweet guy, Joey is the guy for you. He's sweet and just wants to be loved. Do you have room in your heart for a little guy named Joey?
