Charlene's Story...
Hello! My name is Charlene and I am a gentle Dachshund Schnauzer mix. I just moved here with my family from North Carolina. We had a perfect home to move in to but something happened and it didn’t work out for us. My family was forced to give up everything including their best friend…me. It was hard to lose my family but MaxFund has been so wonderful and loving to help me make this change.
My family loved me so very much, spent time with me, trained me well, and socialized me so I will fit into any home or family. I am great with kids, cats, dogs and new people. I also love food! It is time for me to get on a diet and go for regular walks so my girlish figure comes back! I really enjoy walks and, of course, I walk politely on a leash.

In case it’s not obvious - I should also mention that I am housetrained. I am quite mature being 10 years of age but I would like to emphasize that with age comes wisdom and patience – at least it does in my case! My hearing is not what it used to be but I still know the ropes, just sometimes it is better for you to guide me or get my attention so I can focus on you.

I am always ready for a walk and a cuddle so if you would like both, or either, I’d love to meet you. And remember – if you have a loving home and time for me I will be your happy, perfect best friend!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlene, a Denver Dachshund/Schnauzer (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Denver, or seeking a Dachshund/Schnauzer (Standard) dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Dachshund/Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
