Tarzen's Story...
The word for Tarzen is AWESOME. One of the most cuddly and affectionate cats one would ever come across. Tarzen is a 2-year-old "Ocicat" who was dropped off at the city pound because owner claimed to have "too many." It is hard to imagine anyone giving us this amazing cat. Tarzen is GREAT around other pets and LOVES human attention. Rolls on his back for belly rubs and loves being held and petted. Total "lap cat." Very dog-like. Comes when he is called. Handsome, robust and healthy, Tarzen would make a fabulous addition to a cat-loving home. Home with at least one of the kitty would be best. Please call us at (212) 427-8273, rather than email. Like his name implies, Tarzen is a real king of the jungle (asphalt or otherwise).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tarzen, a New York Ocicat cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ocicat for sale in New York, or seeking a Ocicat cat from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ocicat breeders who help with Ocicat rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
