Hannah's Story...
Hannah is a 1 yr old miniature long-haired dachshund. Hannah is a sweet loving young lady who likes to be right with you in the house and loves to take naps on the couch or in your lap. She isn't housetrained yet (this wasn't something she was taught in her previous home) but she is working on it and improving every day. She will need someone who is patient while she is learning. Hannah gets along well with cats (we know that from her previous home), does well in her crate, loves to go on walks and likes older kids too.

If you would like to meet HANNAH, please directly contact her foster mom, Marlo, today at marlomartin@everestkc.net!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hannah, a Overland Park Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
