My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ronin needs a foster home!

You must be a sucker for extremely handsome dogs, or else you wouldn't have clicked on Ronin's picture! This big snuggle-mutt would love nothing more than to cuddle up with you at night or walk proudly by your side during the day. And did we mention that he's sweet, sweet, sweet??? Ronin's favorite activity is giving great big sloppy kisses... closely followed by playing fetch. In fact, he'd make a great companion for a really bad tennis player because he'd just bring you the ball back every time!

Ronin was just a teenager when he was tied to a lightpost and abandoned by his previous "owners." Luckily for Ro, he was spotted by a Good Samaritan and snatched up quickly! He was emaciated and had infected bug bites all over his ears, but Ronin didn't let that stop him and now he is the picture of health. Ronin just can't seem to find that special somebody to be his forever guardian! We can't believe it... he's such a photogenic boy!

However, Ronin isn't just a pretty face. Behind that lolling tongue and muscular body lies an intelligent dog who is a constant learner. Ronin has been polishing his stellar obedience skills for the last year and is excelling at all tasks put before him. Like most pit bulls, Ro bonds quickly with his humans and lives to please them. He will need a home devoted to continuing his training, but he has shown us time and time again that he LOVES to work so this shouldn't be a problem.

Ronin would do best in a home where he can be "Master of his Domain" and not have to compete with any other pets for attention and love. He would do well with older dog-savvy children as he loves to jump and play and could possibly be too much for a small child. However, he has a soft mouth and understands how to be gentle with it. Ro is also crate-trained. (We haven't seen him in a house yet, so we're not sure about housetraining, but cratetraining is usually a good indication!)

If Ronin sounds like the dog for you, please contact us to meet him! He is currently staying in a boarding facility but would infinitely prefer a foster home -- or forever home!
