Rosie's Story...
Happy, bouncy and playful are words that best describe Rosie. She has had a rough start and was very ill when she first came to OKP but is now doing great. She was named after Rosie the riveter because of her spunk and determination to beat the illnesses she had when she arrived. Rosie is likely a carrier of an upper respiratory virus and may have episodes of congestion and runny eyes periodically throughout her life. Many cats that are carriers live long lives and their symptoms can be managed with proper diet and an over the counter supplement. She sounds like a little bird chirping when she meows and is one of the most playful kittens I have ever met. She is an Abyssinian- tabby mix or Abbie-Tabbie and has some very interesting and unusual markings.

Please reference the kitten id number if you are interested in this kitten. The orphan kitten project has many more kittens than are listed. Please contact us to see more.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie, a Davis Abyssinian kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Abyssinian for sale in Davis, or seeking a Abyssinian kitten from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Abyssinian breeders who help with Abyssinian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
