Sierra's Story...
Pepsi, Cola & Sierra were rescued in January after being dumped near Hwy 80 when they were 4 months old. The caretaker of the feral colony near where they were found contacted the Orphan Kitten Project and they were brought into a foster home. They are currently ~8 months old. They are at a great age to fit in with a new family and have grown out of the "kitten crazies". They have good cat manners (no inappropriate behavior).

The kitties are very laid back and LOVE to get attention. They can often be found in kitten piles around the house, cuddling with each other. They follow their foster mom from room to room and enjoy a lot of lap time. They purr as soon as they see people. They would all do great in a busy household with other animals or in a quiet setting as companions.

Please reference the kitten id number if you are interested in this kitten. The orphan kitten project has many more kittens than are listed. Please contact us to see more.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sierra, a Davis Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Davis, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
