My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a courtesy cross post for Willow. This handsome puppy is located in Kentucky. If you are interested in Willow...please contact Rebecca at rdbeasley12@transy.edu

Willow was born 12/16/09, he is DEAF and VISUALLY IMPAIRED, we believe he can see with his left eye, so signal training is possible. Willow is very sweet and mellow at times...but, do not let that fool you for a minute. This boy lives to play and he needs a nice big backyard. His impairments are not disabilities...it is just an adjustment and he is no different than any other dog. There are lots of resources for training deaf and blind dogs.

He is learning his doggie manners....and he is still a puppy, so training is needed. Willow is working on crate training, potty training and he is learning touch and sign language.

Unfortunately Willow was previously adopted and it was not the right match due to the person living in an apartment. Willow has a high energy level like most Australian Shepherds and he is a velcro dog...wanting to be with his person. He would also do well in a home with other dogs, cats or even rabbits.

He has all his vaccinations, has been neutered, and he is on flea/heartworm prevention. I have signed him up for a puppy training class and will continue to work with him on his training at home prior to adoption. I will be very thorough in my search this time, because I want this transition to be permanent for him. this poor little guy has been through so much in his short life. I want him to have the best.

To make this handsome boy your new best friend, please contact Rebecca at rdbeasley12@transy.edu
