Georgie's Story...
This is Georgie, a 4 month old male black Lab mix puppy who is all puppy, very clumsy and very sweet. He plays wonderfully with the other dogs in his foster home, loves to wrestle and play tag, then will sit on our feet to have his head patted for awhile. Georgie is working hard on house training and basic commands like sit and lay down and slept through the night in his crate the first night at his foster home. Georgie would be a great addition to any family.

As we learn more about Georgie we will update his profile. He is up to date on vacinations and neutered.

If you think you could be Georgie’s forever home, please stop by and meet this handsome fella.

As HAHS has several adoption locations, please contact Andrew and Sara at asgabbard@yahoo.com or call 513-254-1404 to find out when and where you can meet GEORGIE!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Georgie, a Overland Park Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
