Max's Story...
Hi, I'm Max and I was surrendered because I had a hankering for the neighbor's chickens. So, I would prefer if my new family didn't have any of those tempting tasty feathered friends around! I'm 4 years old and 60lbs. I'm said to be good with other dogs and kids! I haven't met any cats yet though. I'm already neutered, housetrained, I walk nicely on a leash and I know basic commands like sit, lay and shake! WHEW! I sound like a pretty fabulous fella don't I!?!?! And I'm cute too! What more can you ask for!?! If you are interested in me and you can provide a loving responsible forever home please contact the shelter and don't forget to include my ID number. 6/30

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Ladysmith Labrador Retriever/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Beagle for sale in Ladysmith, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Beagle dog from a breeder in Ladysmith.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ladysmith already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ladysmith breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Beagle breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ladysmith paves the way for another one to be saved.
