Dodger's Story...
Updated 7/2/10: Say hello to Dodger! Wow, look at those eyes!

Dodger was rescued by a volunteer from a shelter, along with his mom and other siblings. He and his littermates are just 9 weeks old. Dodger is the smallest in his litter. He is staying in a foster home, where they describe him as "sweet and good natured".

Dodger is a typical, curious puppy. He loves everyone and everything. Dodger needs a family who understands the needs of a young puppy - a family that is willing to patiently teach him the rules of the house and bring him to basic obedience training. Those interested in Dodger also must own their own home (please do not apply for this pup if you are a renter).

Dodger is healthy and up-to-date on vaccines. $350 adoption donation is required prior to adoption of puppies. $50 is refunded to the adopter once proof of neuter, at the appropriate age, is provided to us. A vet reference check and home visit are also required prior to adoption.

Note: We ordinarily limit adoptions to homes within CT or no more than an hour or so drive from our kennel in order to be able to conduct a home visit and provide follow-up assistance when necessary. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dodger, a Manchester Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Manchester, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Manchester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manchester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manchester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manchester paves the way for another one to be saved.
