Keely's Story...
Keely is a gentle, friendly, affectionate and wonderful female border collie mix. She is approximately 2 1/2 years old. Keely was adopted to a loving and caring back in 2008 through our organization. Unfortunately, the family's living situation has changed and they are moving into a city environment. They feel that they can not provide Keely the active lifestyle and yard to play in that they thinks she deserves. Keely is wonderful with other dogs and has grown up in a home with a young child. She allows the little boy in the home to do anything to her. She loves to play, play, play and even fetches a ball!!! She has not gone through any basic obedience training, but she is a fairly well mannered girl. She will sometimes jump up on people but responds quickly to correction. She is a very friendly dog that would be a perfect dog for a family. She does fine when she is home alone, but like any dog, would require exercise prior to staying by herself. She would do beautifully in any type of home, but would be best suited with kids, other dogs and a nice yard to run and play in.

She has received her distemper, bordatella and rabies vaccines. She has also been microchipped, is heartworm negative and is spayed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Keely, a Old Bridge Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Old Bridge, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Old Bridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Old Bridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Old Bridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Old Bridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
