Ranger's Story...
This is a courtesy posting for another rescue. For information about this dog please email purrfectpets@gmail.com

Ranger is a big boy, but he’s just a huge sweetheart. His breed is anyone’s guess, but he appears to be part Saint Bernard, along with maybe some Hound and/or Mastiff or Pit Bull. He's approximately 2-3 years old and weighs about 80-90 pounds.
We pulled Ranger from an Eastern Washington shelter where he was at risk of euthanasia due to overcrowding.

He’s a mellow guy and after running around for a few minutes collapses at your feet and takes a nap. He loves putting his huge head on your lap and getting his head rubbed, or tries to climb up on your lap and be a lap dog. He’s perfect in the car and loves looking out the window. He appears to be completely housetrained.

He’s excellent with other dogs and loves going to the dog park. He allows a 4-month-old puppy to climb all over his head and stick her head in his mouth and he’ll back down from a 10-pound Boston Terrier who wants his toy.

Ranger is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. There is a $175 adoption fee to help pay for his care. If you are interested in adopting Ranger please email purrfectpets@gmail.com for more information and an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ranger, a West Richland St. Bernard/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in West Richland, or seeking a St. Bernard/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in West Richland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Richland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Richland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with St. Bernard/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Richland paves the way for another one to be saved.
