Simba's Story...
Simba Update – June 10, 2013 - Simba is still in foster care, waiting for his happily forever after.

Simba is a big lynx point Siamese X Long hair with blue eyes.

GVAC took Simba into care from the CRD pound to give him the dental care he desperately needed. At his vet appointment for assessment, tests revealed he is also diabetic.

Simba now has a clean, healthy mouth and a large fan club at his vet office. He is a constant charmer and wins hearts left and right. He is currently with a wonderful foster Mom who patiently monitors his blood sugar levels, insulin dosage and administers cuddles as prescribed but he needs a forever home. If you are one of those special people who knows the reward of caring for a diabetic cat, please consider extending your generosity and affection to this handsome fellow.

As well, Simba would greatly appreciate a contribution to assist with his vet care. To relieve his pain and give him the chance of a healthy future, GVAC has tended to his extensive dental surgery and is working with an excellent vet to understand his sugars and the best options for controlling diabetes. If you would like to contribute to Simba’s vet care, please contact us at info@animalcrusaders.ca.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simba, a Victoria Siamese cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in Victoria, or seeking a Siamese cat from a breeder in Victoria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Victoria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Victoria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Victoria paves the way for another one to be saved.
