Chewy's Info...

Chewy's Story...
Chewy's unique looks - he resembles his namesake, Chewbacca, from Star Wars - are bound to attract attention wherever he goes. He is about two years old and weighs 53lbs. He has been waiting patiently at the shelter since January 23rd for his forever family to come find him, and has now come into the Mikey's Chance program.

This is a friendly, happy dog, who loved the kids he met at the shelter. He is responsive and people-oriented, and seems very smart - and and he LOVES to play fetch. He is also calm and relaxed when meeting other dogs, enjoys playing with them, and will even share toys while playing fetch.

His adoption fee of $185 will help offset the cost of his rescue and vet care.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chewy, a Seattle Australian Shepherd/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Seattle, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Seattle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
