Lighting's Story...
shoe and dog

(ID #658) Hi, my name is Lighting. I am longing to find my forever home and a family to love me. Do you have room in your heart and your home for me??

I’m such a great dog to be around. I’m about four years old and I weigh around 45 pounds. I have a sweet disposition and a really neat spot pattern.

My family moved and where they were moving there was no fenced yard. They say I am good around kids and other dogs. But I don't do so well around those pesky things you call cats.

I really love to be by the side of my human and relish the back scratch. Scratching behind the ears is also great. I am protective of my home so no unwanted people will be warned. I

I am being sponsored by Sheltered Paws Dog Rescue. That means they are providing you with a getting started Goodie Bag when you adopt me. The bag contains a collar, leash, ID tag, training DVD, CD with helpful articles, booklet with training information, toy, and treats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lighting, a Cincinnati Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
