My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Toby is an adorable 2 year old, black and tan German Shepherd. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, flea, tick and heartworm prevention. Toby was picked up as a stray and ended up in a high kill rural shelter located in Alabama. We are so grateful that we were able to gather a small army of dedicated transport volunteers to ensure this sweet boy can have a second chance he so much deserves.

Toby has been a very good Shepherd since coming into rescue. He is extremely sweet, and he loves to cuddle. He is also fairly low energy for a two year old. He can be a little shy when you first meet him but once he warms up to you, he will be your best friend. Toby is very smart too, we started him with obedience training, and he is doing great. He listens really well, and he hates to be in trouble so he responds to verbal correction without hesitation. Toby is good with other dogs, but he can be too dominant with little dogs. We are not sure how he is with kitty cats, but we can perform a cat check if necessary. Toby is good with kids, however due to his size he can and will knock over little children so a home with older kids is much preferred.
