Robin--Puppy!'s Story...
ONE Female left!
We had a litter of 7 purebred Norwegian Elkhound puppies. These pups were dumped into a pound in Michigan that still sells to research. Fortunately, someone contacted us and we were able to rescue them right away. They were 6 weeks old at the time. They were born on 04/23/10 and are approximately 5 months old now.

There were 3 males and 4 females in the litter. We now have only 1 female available. Her name is Robin and she is a darling girl with a winning personality! All puppies have been spayed/neutered and are ready to go to their new homes. The adoption fee is $300. A fenced yard is a requirement and we will not consider "invisible" fences. We ask that you be able to travel to get your puppy.

These puppies are not in the Closer to Home Animal Advocates program. We are listing them as a courtesy for the John Nelsen Moosedog Rescue Fund and their adoptions will be handled through them. To learn more about dogs like this, please click here to go their website.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Robin--Puppy!, a Belleville Norwegian Elkhound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Norwegian Elkhound for sale in Belleville, or seeking a Norwegian Elkhound puppy from a breeder in Belleville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Belleville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Belleville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Norwegian Elkhound breeders who help with Norwegian Elkhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Belleville paves the way for another one to be saved.
