Winston's Story...
Winston is a very sweet and cute red puppy who is looking for a home with lots of love and security. He was a bit overwhelmed to find himself in a loud shelter at such a young age, and now, in his foster home he is working on growing his confidence. When he goes outside for a walk he's shy, and needs lots of time adjusting to new surroundings. In the home, once he gets to know you he warms up quickly and will be your constant sidekick, and companion. Winston is currently undergoing socialization and puppy classes so that he can grow into the best dog he can be. He is learning not to fear but to trust and walk with confidence. Winston will be done with his puppy classes and available for adoption on or after May 11th, 2006.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winston, a Berkeley American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
