Mikey's Story...
Mikey is a little man who was rescued from certain death after a laboratory was finished "using" him. He is small, friendly, healthy and happy. He is looking for a quiet, gentle home to spend out the rest of his days. He loves paper towel cardboard tubes and fresh food. Please contact ECC at 1 (800) 880-2684 or adopt@emptycagescollective.org if you're interested in adopting this little dude!

About Our Rescue Group...
Empty Cages Collective is a Brooklyn-based, all volunteer, animal rescue and advocacy organization. Our aim is to cultivate a culture where all animals are recognized as sentient beings worthy of respect and compassion.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We would love to introduce you to our cats and kittens! Information about our upcoming adoption events can be found on our web site. Or call us at 1-800-880-2684 or email us at adopt@emptycagescollective.org to schedule an appointment.
Our Adoption Process...
Because we have limited resources we try to help the cats and kittens who are in the greatest need. All of our cats and kittens have been rescued as socialized strays or pulled from the kill list at NYC Animal Care & Control.

All of cats and kittens have been, or will be, spayed and neutered. As well, they have been vaccinated, treated for parasites, and blood tested.

Adoption of a cat or kitten from Empty Cages Collective requires an approved application and a donation of at least seventy-five dollars (one hundred dollars if the cat or kitten has been micro chipped).

Please call us at 1-800-880-2684 or email us at adopt@emptycagescollective.org for an adoption application.

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
New York City (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mikey, a Brooklyn Mouse was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mouse for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Mouse from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mouse breeders who help with Mouse rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
