Sherbert's Story...
This little guy is Sherbert and he is the cutest little kitten around. Sherbert came to VPAS from another rescue group after being found hiding under a mobile home. He was very shy when he first arrived at VPAS, but he quickly warmed up to his new friends and turned into a big snuggle bum. It didn't take this adorable little guy long to become a favourite at VPAS and win over the hearts of everyone who was caring for him.

Sherbert is still a little uncomfortable about being picked up, but he just loves to snuggle on your lap or beside you on the couch. He loves to roll around on his bed and get tummy rubs from his friends, and he curls up into all sorts of funny shapes. Because Sherbert is a little bit nervous with loud sounds and fast movements he would prefer a home without young children. So far he has not had experience with other cats or with dogs.

Sherbert has the cutest green eyes and the best little ears. They are large and they curl up at the tips like those of an America Curl, but they also have little tufts at the tips like a lynx. His cow splotches and little grey hat are adorable.

If you are looking to find your new best friend, consider Sherbert. He will make you smile & laugh, and will keep your lap warm and full of purrs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sherbert, a Saanichton Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Saanichton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Saanichton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saanichton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saanichton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saanichton paves the way for another one to be saved.
