My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boomer used to belong to a truck driver and was only fed and given water when his owner was not on the road. The rest of the time he did without. Fortunately, Boomer caught a kind persons eye and his situation was reported to the local authorities. He was removed from his neglectful situation and legally signed over by his owner.

As a result of the neglect, Boomer was very underweight, unsocialized, had bad fly strike to his ears and was heartworm positive. We took him in to our program because the shelter that had him was going to put him to sleep.

It's taken several months to get Boomer ready for adoption. He's at a good weight, even though he's on the smaller side. He's been treated for heartworms and now has a clean bill of health. Boomer is one of the smartest dogs we have. He's highly teachable and learning more everyday. At this point in his journey, we do not recommend him for a home with cats or small dogs.

This dog is crate trained, neutered, up to date on shots and HW free. Adoption application, home visit, and $250 adoption fee are required. Please read our adoption requirements on our home page at www.gsdcentral.petfinder.com.
