My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Crystal and not the Downtown Dog Rescue.
Lucky is a homeless dog that my husband who is an LAPD officer found roaming the streets near the 77th St Division in South Central. He was very malnourished and tired. We decided because of his great temperament that we would nurse him back to health as best we could and try to find him a good home. We have had no luck. I refuse to take him to a shelter because of over population and the miss-conception that Pit bulls are vicious animals I know that "Lucky" will not last very long. We have two dogs of our own (old english bulldogs) and only rent the property we live in and for that reason we cannot keep him. I've been afraid of Pit bulls my whole life until I met "Lucky" he is so loving, goofy, and just sheds a new light in our home. I KNOW that he will make a great companion for someone. My husband and I will be more that happy to help get him Shots, Neutered and ready for adoption. I write to you with my heart in my hand. I cannot let him suffer in the streets. He doesn't deserve it, nor does any dog. We do not know exactly how old Lucky is but my guess is he's about a year old. He definitely acts like a puppy and has those tendencies. He is extremely playful and like lots of attention. He does have a white chest as you can see in some of the pictures I sent. He probably weighs about 40-50LBs. He is gaining weight with the food and vitamins we have been giving him but is still very slim. He gets along great with my other two dogs.
